Newest sign of chess

A press note of the Ate district council dated 16 January 2026 on the opening of its summer programme Vacaciones Útiles 2026 lists chess among the main workshops of the year (over 40 in all, ages 6 to 17, at S/ 50 for the whole cycle, classes from 16 January), held at the zonal offices of Huaycán, Santa Clara and Salamanca, the Centro Cultural de Ate and the Complejo Deportivo Ollantaytambo. The note does not say at which venue chess is taught or that the workshop recurs. No later notice was found.
