Newest sign of chess
A news item of the La Victoria district council dated 7 January 2025 on its 28 summer workshops (over 1,200 children and young people enrolled) lists chess among the sports workshops and says chess, with women’s football, baseball and roller skating, is taught free of charge, while the other sports workshops cost 60 soles a month. The workshops are spread over eight venues; the item does not say where chess is taught or that it recurs. No later notice was found. Not confirmed since 7 January 2025.
